
Step Change is a unique healthy weight loss programme for people who need help and motivation to get active, lose weight and start living a healthier and happier lifestyle
The programme will take you on a life changing journey in a friendly, non intimidating environment – you will be part of a small, private group all working together towards the same goal as well as having the option of one to one personal training sessions.
An experienced health and fitness professional will guide and encourage you along the way, breaking the journey down into small, realistic and non-daunting steps. You will be equipped with a pedometer to track your activity levels, a detailed exercise and food plan and given inspiration, tips and close guidance every STEP of the way.
Not only will we focus on weight loss and increasing your number of steps per day, you will also learn about long term healthy living, be involved with both individual and group challenges and take part in a final challenge so you have something to aim for and shout about if you wish.
The journey will be challenging at times, yet very rewarding and a lot of fun, by the end of it you will have gained more confidence and achieved something to be proud of – as well as losing a lot of weight along the way!

I joined wanting to change from an unhealthy, fatty careless lifestyle, to a structured, happy and healthy one. This has happened and I love it now. For those wanting ‘bolt on’ Personal Training sessions, please speak to Tara to determine costs as this depends on length and frequency of the sessions you require.
The costs above include becoming a member of a private on line forum where the full step by step guide, food, recipe and exercise plans are published. On this forum you will receive home video workouts, be able to view individual and group progress and receive continuous help and motivation on a daily basis. The price also includes your pedometer, a branded t-shirt and a memento on completion of the programme. What’s included
What will I be eating?
This is NOT a shake, supplement, soup, smoothie or any kind of fad diet! The plan is sensible and healthy eating based on whole, lean and natural foods, rather than processed and refined foods.
You will learn about clean eating and being able to enjoy food without going hungry. It’s about changing long term habits, learning a balance and being able to moderate treats.
The plan is suitable for vegans/vegetarians.
This does not involve specialist and expensive foods, everything can be purchased in your local supermarket and there is no annoying weighing, measuring etc!

What exercise will I be expected to do?

This will really depend on your current activity levels. You will have an initial profiling session with the Personal Trainer who will then provide you with a personalised and realistic exercise plan.
One main focus will be to increase your number of STEPs per day and this will be recorded via the pedometer provided and uploaded into a tracking chart.
What will the group meetings entail?
Each group meeting will be different and held at various locations. Sometimes they will be active such as walking trails and workouts, and others will be educational (for example learning about good/bad foods) as well as team building and open discussions. Near the end of the healthy weight loss programme we will undertake a group challenge followed by a social evening out to celebrate our achievement.
